To increase knowledge and decrease purchase/consumption of high sodium products.
Create an awareness campaign that introduces the new sodium warning label and places it in chain restaurant environments, highlighting where the consumers will see and interact with the icon.
Utilizing stop-motion animation for our TV spot and social media assets, we were able to use real salt to tell our story, create reinforcing imagery, and strengthen the impact of the icon design. View the English and the Spanish TV spots.
A post-campaign study was conducted for New York City Department of Health. When asked, 59% stated they had seen or heard advertising about sodium warnings on restaurant menus. As a result of seeing this advertising campaign, 28% said they are more likely to use the sodium warning information to make menu selections when eating out.
Raise awareness of youth health initiatives in New York City, especially places teens can go to acquire condoms and learn how to protect themselves against STIs.
Deliver an ice-breaker that will reduce the awkwardness of talking about sex using a key communication and sexting tool: Emojis. These visuals were accompanied by the call to action, “Need to talk to someone about ‘it’?” Clicking on these ads would take our audience to
the YouthHealth website that featured clinic locators and relevant health facts, ranging from sexual to mental health.
This campaign resulted in over 5 million impressions among NYC youth and generated 153,288 clicks to the YouthHealth website where they could learn about sexual health and make appointments. It won the Shorty Award for Best Use of Emoji and was named the Audience Honor winner, as voted on by the fans, in the same category.
The goal of the PSAL Mobile app is to extend many features of the PSAL website and take advantage of specific mobile capabilities that will allow everyone from spectators to Athletic Directors to stay informed, engaged and on top of their responsbilities that make the PSAL a unique and rewarding experience for people in the NYC area.
By following our mobile app methodology, we conducted focus groups and developed user personas to properly assess and design an optimal user interface for all stakeholders.
Our mockups and initial design work exceeded the expectations of the PSAL staff as well as their persona bases. Many are looking forward to engaging and using the app in the years to come. Visit the App Store to download the app and check it out!

Verizon Wireless needed a tablet app that would enable side-by-side interaction between retail reps and customers and tap into VZW’s vast learning, knowledge and content systems.
We conducted technical, creative and security discovery in order to develop a plan that would fulfill VZW’s stringent expectations and requirements. No stone was left unturned, from user experience to security protocols.
SIMON (Simplified Information for the Moment of Need) is used by Verizon Wireless sales representatives in more than 1,800 locations. The Brandon Hall Excellence in Technology Awards with its Bronze Award recognized the app for Best Advance in Learning Management Technology.
Our challenge was to combine the story of turn of the century NYC immigration with a teaching platform to be used in classrooms. We created personas and tested users to create a robust architecture for all.
We needed to create a balance between storytelling and instructional activity through over 100 artifacts including photos, documents, newspaper articles, political cartoons and videos.
This custom learning app has been downloaded over 80,000 times from teachers across the US and was recognized with a 2015 Webby Honoree award for Education & Reference. Download the app and check it out for yourself!
